Student Art Show

1st Annual Art Show of Moriah Morgan’s Private Students at the Leonardtown Arts Center

The Leonardtown Arts Center will host a show of artwork by the talented young students of Moriah Morgan, a resident artist at the center. Moriah teaches private lessons emphasizing realism in a variety of media, including watercolors, colored pencils, pen and ink, and oils. The show will be displayed in the main gallery of the Art Center and will contain a wide range of subjects, including animals, airplanes, and portraits. Between ages 6 and 14, Moriah’s students are Roman Burk, Grace and Sarah Ford, Molly Guy, Emma, Ezra, and Josiah Huckabee, Emma, Maggie, and Corwin Mires, Lillian Morrison, Rebecca Shepard, and Kathryn Vezzosi.

The show will run from Friday, May 3rd to Friday, May 17th, with an opening reception on Friday, May 3 from 5-8 p.m. The Leonardtown Arts Center, is located at 22660 Washington St. in Leonardtown. Many of the proud young artists will be present and refreshments will be available.

Off the Wall

The Leonardtown Arts Center located at 22660 Washington St. 2nd Floor is pleased to announce OFF THE WALL: An Art Market in LeonARTown! The market will be held on First Friday May 3 and will feature one of a kind handmade art objects, prints, paintings, photographs, bags, jewelry, recycled ornaments and more! Local artists and artisans bring a funky flavor to the town mixing unusual material with innovative design work. Off the Wall Art Market strives to provide a venue for young emerging artists/artisans as well as professional artists with national exhibition records. If you are looking for a new pair of earrings or an original print for a gift this holiday season, LeonARTown Art Market is the place to be!
